will camera prices drop
Camera prices drop, news goes viral
Cameras and technology enthusiasts around the world were shocked after rumors of camera price drops circulated on social media. Rumors of a price decrease for cameras have been dated back as far as 2014. The rumors were first published as a Microsoft-owned blogger from China posted a screenshot of an email obtained from Microsoft to his blog. From there, it spread on Twitter and Reddit with many people believing that the photo was taken in October 2015. Soon enough, information spread that video game company Activision Blizzard had announced they were preparing to release devices with drop in pricing. Once more sources confirmed the rumor, camera manufacturers began releasing other devices with similar specifications and dimensions to compete against each other for consumer's attention.
Another source confirmed that cameras from 3 major camera manufacturers have been released with a drop in pricing. The names of the companies and their products has not been revealed at this time. The new $100-$300 dollar cameras are superior to their predecessors, as they include more advanced features. Globally, the price of cameras will remain on course to drop by ten percent this year. There is also no word on whether two-year contracts will be used to reduce camera prices further or not.

Some camera enthusiasts believe that changes in the supply chain has led the price drops that have been announced thus far by manufacturers, but they are not willing to share evidence with reporters until they receive confirmation from another source.
Many years ago, photography was all the rage. People rushed out and bought Nikon, Canon and all those other fancy camera brands. But now the market has changed and things have changed dramatically.
2016 is going to be a year of massive change for cameras as it was for cell phones in 2009-2010 when they finally started dropping in price (at least in certain countries). If you have been waiting to buy a camera then wait no more because it will soon be a lot cheaper than you think..
The following is an article about why you must wait for a price drop in camera prices.

Camera prices have been artificially high for years and are still very expensive compared to other technologies, like smartphones and tablets. Changing this situation is now possible due to the arrival of digital technology, which makes everything cheaper and more accessible. The arrival of cheap technology allows a new competition that will not only kill off the existing camera market but will also force delivery companies to lower their fees and substantially reduce the prices on their products. This is happening right now but it will be accelerated even further next year (as we have seen in cell phones).
Your old DSLR camera is going to be completely replaced by your smartphone which can now take crystal clear images in the majority of situations. The only time your smartphone will not be able to take clear pictures is in poor lighting conditions.
If you have a point and shoot then there is no reason for you to buy a DSLR because it will perform as good or better than any current models out there. But what about the lenses? This issue has recently been addressed by companies like Ricoh who have released a new line of compact cameras with an interchangeable lens system that attach directly to your iPhone (or other smartphone). These lenses are actually cheaper than the equivalent lens for a DSLR and they can provide better results because of their size.
